Privacy policy

Margofam is private software used by one family to manage its own household administration. It is not offered to the public, has no users other than the family that built it, and collects no data from anyone else.

This website

These pages are static. They set no cookies, run no analytics, load no third-party scripts and no fonts from elsewhere, and build no profile of anyone who visits. The web host records ordinary server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and reliability, which Margofam does not read or use.

Google user data

With the account owner's explicit consent, given through Google's own sign-in screen, the software accesses his own Google account only. Each permission is requested separately and used for one purpose:

Gmail — read and change labels (gmail.modify) Sorting his own mailbox: applying labels, archiving, and saving bill attachments into his own Google Drive. It is never used to send email, and nothing is permanently deleted.
Gmail — settings and labels (gmail.settings.basic, gmail.labels) Creating and maintaining his own filters and labels.
Google Drive Reading and filing his own documents, and storing backups of his own data.
Google Contacts Keeping his own contact list in step with the software's address book.

How that data is handled

Margofam's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Children

The software is used by members of one family, including adults under 25. It is not directed at children and collects nothing from the public.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
